At the recently concluded CIME2026 Beijing International Mining Exhibition, Global Network reporters conducted in-depth interviews with ten industry companies and emerging forces, including Ansteel Resources, Baosteel Resources, Hanwang Gold, TMEIC China, Zhongmei Sai Di Electric, Zhejiang Mining Heavy Industry, Qingdao Global Conveyor, Shangli Shi Pump Group, Shunda Heavy Mining, and Hebei Shengnai Put. Representatives of these companies shared their latest achievements and future plans from the perspectives of technological innovation, digital upgrading, green and low-carbon initiatives, and global expansion.

Focus on innovative achievements and explore new pathways for the transformation of the mining industry.

In an interview at the exhibition, Jiang Li-ming, Director of Corporate Culture at the Party Committee Publicity Department of Anshan Iron and Steel Resources Co., Ltd., stated that Anshan Iron and Steel Resources hopes to leverage CIME as a professional platform to showcase its latest technological advancements, learn from the advanced experiences of its peers, and work with its partners in the industry to jointly explore new pathways for the transformation of the mining sector. Around the exhibition’s theme, Anshan Iron and Steel Resources has created a distinctive booth that is open, technologically advanced, and simple, comprehensively and three-dimensionally presenting its full range of products and technological strengths across its entire value chain. In terms of physical product displays, Anshan Iron and Steel Resources focused on showcasing its individual equipment with strong export competitiveness and several core flagship products, demonstrating its commitment to deep involvement in the mining industry and leading its development.

Embrace digitalization and focus on green and low-carbon development.

In the context of the intelligentization wave, Xu Junde, Director of Corporate Culture at Baowu Resources Co., Ltd., stated in an interview that the domestic AI wave is driving mining enterprises to undergo comprehensive digital transformation. Currently, Baowu Resources is vigorously promoting the application of unmanned equipment and systematic monitoring to achieve efficiency gains and instant feedback. Additionally, he emphasized Baowu Resources’ strategic direction of ensuring the supply of iron ore resources, with plans to increase the comprehensive utilization of resources both domestically and internationally in the future.

During an interview, Sun Qianqian, Director of the Power Electronics Department of Zhongmei Sadi Electric Technology Co., Ltd., explained that Zhongmei Sadi brings two major core product series: power energy and electrical equipment. Looking to the future, the company’s extensive efforts in greenization, particularly in the application of technologies in the field of special power sources, aim to provide more efficient and green, low-carbon solutions for large-capacity mining equipment, thereby empowering the green, low-carbon transformation of the mining industry.

Harness cutting-edge technology to drive upgrades in equipment performance.

The breakthroughs in equipment manufacturing have also been remarkable. Li Haitao, Director of Sales for TMEIC’s Mining Business in China, highlighted during an interview at the exhibition venue the applications of TMEIC’s high-voltage frequency converters on mills and 10kV frequency converters on hoists. In the future, TMEIC will leverage the technologies of Toshiba and Mitsubishi, two century-old companies, to further expand its applications in both the low-speed applications in mining and the high-speed applications in oil and gas, thereby helping the industry to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Wang Fuzhi, Director of the International Business Department of Zhejiang Mining Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., stated in an interview that Zhejiang Mining Heavy Industry, as the first publicly listed company in China’s crusher industry, showcased four key highlights at the exhibition: first, the equipment’s large size; its largest rotary crusher can process up to 6,000 tons per hour, with the main shaft rotating at a speed of 0-3 revolutions per minute when empty; second, significant technological advantages, with the rolling cone crusher’s operating speed far exceeding industry standards, enabling raw materials to be processed down to 5 mm; third, on-site service provision, with offices established both overseas and domestically in Hebei, Liaoning, Sichuan, and other regions; and fourth, significant global achievements, with overseas sales orders surpassing the total for the entire previous year, embodying the philosophy that “products reflect character and accompany products on their journey around the world.”

In addition, Liu Tao, the chairman of Hebei Shengnai Pu Mining Equipment Co., Ltd., who specializes in the research, development, and production of wear-resistant equipment, explained in an interview that as a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of mineral processing wear-resistant equipment, Shengnai Pu has introduced products such as hydrocyclones, ball mills, wear-resistant linings, and rubber linings. By relying on continuous performance innovation and extensive experience in mining applications, Shengnai Pu has consistently secured orders in overseas markets, demonstrating strong competitiveness.

Take advantage of the momentum to expand into international markets and accelerate our global market strategy.

At the exhibition, “going overseas” became the focal point of attention for companies. Qiu Yu-min, Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Hanwang Gold International Limited, stated in an interview that, as an international company listed in Hong Kong, participating in this exhibition was primarily aimed at leveraging the CIME Mining Exhibition platform as a bridge to connect Asian capital with Australian resources, with the goal of selecting potential suppliers for a large-scale gold mine currently under construction with an annual production capacity of 5 million tons. At the same time, the company aims to expand and strengthen its operations by relying on its technological advantages and extensive experience in Australia, as well as the support of Asian capital.

Liu An, Chief Operating Officer of Shun Da Heavy Mining Group, explained in an interview that as China’s largest crusher manufacturer with over 40 years of history, Shun Da Heavy Mining produced the country’s first semi-mobile crusher station in 2023. Currently, Shun Da is actively expanding its presence in overseas markets, aiming to establish itself as a leading international manufacturer of mining equipment.

Cao Dongbo, Vice President of Major Customer Sales at Qingdao Global Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd., emphasized in an interview at the exhibition site that Qingdao Global Conveyor Belts is the leading export enterprise in the field of conveyor belts in China. To date, it has four production sites covering an area of over 1,300 acres. It is the largest and most productive enterprise in Asia, accounting for one-third of the country’s total export volume of conveyor belts, with over 200 production lines.

Li Pan, Chairman of Shangli Shi Group (Shijiazhuang) Pump Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized in an interview the significance of participating in this exhibition and the concurrent forums. Mr. Li Pan candidly stated that the prospects for Chinese mining enterprises to “go global” are vast, but there is still a gap between the company’s slurry pumps and top-tier pumps from foreign manufacturers. In the future, by continuously improving technological research and development and product quality, we will accompany China’s mining industry’s development process, promote our products globally, achieve leadership in the industry, and truly realize the co-development of Chinese manufacturing and global mining.

The CIME 2026 Mining Exhibition is not merely a showcase of cutting-edge technologies and equipment in the industry; it is also a profound dialogue about the future trends in mining. Through the insightful presentations by these ten companies, we observe that the Chinese mining industry is steadily moving towards “digitalization, greenization, and globalization,” promising a bright future.
